Katie Miller, Former DOGE Goon and Stephen Miller’s Wife, Leaves Elon to Start Podcast

When Katie Miller left her role as a spokesperson for Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) at the end of May, she was said to be joining the billionaire in his private business endeavors. But just two months later, it sounds like things didn’t work out in the House of Musk. Katie Miller, the wife of White House ghoul Stephen Miller, announced Thursday that she’s making a new pivot and will become a podcaster focused on entertainment for conservative women.

Miller released a promo video on YouTube and X on Thursday and complained that “there isn’t a place for conservative women to gather online.” She went on to say that as a wife and mom of three young kids who’s “trying to do a career, eat healthy, work out,” there isn’t a place for honest conversations from people across the political spectrum.

“I’ve been a communications director to senators, to a vice president,” Miller said. “I worked in high levels of the U.S. government and most recently I’m concluding my time working full time for Elon Musk.”

There are, of course, countless podcasts by and for conservative women. The Megyn Kelly Show is one of the top-rated podcasts in the world, and there’s an entire social media ecosystem devoted to spreading the MAGA agenda from the perspective of Trump-supporting women. But Miller does provide something that the average right-wing momfluencer doesn’t have. She’s got the connections to book some of the most powerful people in the world.

News of the podcast’s release first came out in Axios, presumably because the news outlet is extremely Trump-friendly. She told Axios that her husband is “incredibly supportive” of her new project and will help book guests. Those guests will reportedly include Vice President JD Vance, ESPN reporter Sage Steele, and boxer Mike Tyson.

“I’m incredibly grateful to President Trump and Elon for the ability to enact lasting change,” Miller told Axios. “We got a lot done. […] We reshaped how the federal bureaucracy views government spending.”

The things she and Musk “got done” included the wholesale destruction of the federal government, including the unlawful shuttering of USAID. One study published in the Lancet estimates the cuts to USAID will kill about 14 million people globally by 2030. Boston University estimates put the death toll at about 400,000 people already. And all of that is to say nothing of the incredible violations of privacy that DOGE goons regularly engage in.

In any just world, everyone associated with DOGE would be facing trial for crimes against humanity. Instead, people like Katie Miller and her husband get to keep living their lives like normal, producing podcasts and profiting from the misery Trump is inflicting on vulnerable communities—from trans people to hard-working immigrants.

Axios asked Katie Miller about her relationship with Elon Musk, and she gave a pretty evasive answer: “I hope Elon is a listener to the podcast and I hope to have him as a guest one day.” And while it was reported that Miller would be going to work for Musk, her role at the billionaire’s companies wasn’t clear. As the New York Times reported in June, it may have been awkward when Musk and Trump started to fight very publicly, putting her in a position where she couldn’t take sides. Stephen Miller is one of Trump’s top aides, and it would’ve been politically uncomfortable for her to be seen as an ally of Musk, as the Tesla CEO accused Trump of being in the Epstein files, among so many other criticisms.

Rumors have swirled about the exact nature of Musk’s relationship with the Millers. There has been a stream of jokes about the three of them being in some kind of throuple, given the way Wired characterized their relationship back in February. “If you can find out anything about Stephen Miller’s social life, I don’t wanna know the answer,” an unnamed Republican operative told the magazine.

The official X account for the Democratic Party even tweeted a hotel “cuck chair” at Stephen Miller after it was announced Katie Miller would be leaving her White House role to work for Musk. But it’s not at all clear if there’s any kind of personal relationship between the three of them beyond their love for destroying everything good about the U.S. government.

Katie Miller is promising something new with her podcast, but we’re not expecting hard-hitting interviews with any of the people she and her husband book. We can’t imagine she’s going to ask people like JD Vance about the Jeffrey Epstein files, for instance.

“And so please join me for my podcast,” Miller said in her promo. “We’re going to do this once a week on Mondays to talk about lifestyle, what’s going on, real honest conversations, none of the bullshit.”
