    Creamy Garlic Spaghetti with Cracked Black Pepper Sauce

    Ingredients:

    12 oz spaghetti

    2 tablespoons unsalted butter

    3 cloves garlic, minced

    1 cup heavy cream

    1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper (more to taste)

    1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

    1/4 cup reserved pasta water

    1 tablespoon olive oil

    Optional: chopped parsley or basil for garnish

    Directions:

    Cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.

    In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

    Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

    Add Parmesan cheese, cracked black pepper, and salt. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.

    Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

    Serve hot, garnished with extra black pepper and fresh herbs if desired.
