A woman was arrested at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas after allegedly abandoning her dog at a JetBlue ticket counter when she wasn’t allowed to board with it.

Police say she failed to complete paperwork to classify the dog as a service animal and, instead of resolving the issue, tied the dog to a baggage sizer and went through security. Officers later located her at the gate, where she reportedly became hostile and resisted detention.

The 2-year-old golden doodle mix, now named “Jet Blue,” was taken in by Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas and is safe in foster care, awaiting a new home.
