    Creamy Baked Broccoli Chicken Divan with Cheddar Crust

    Ingredients:

    2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced

    4 cups fresh broccoli florets

    1 tablespoon butter

    1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

    1 cup milk

    1/2 cup sour cream

    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    1/2 teaspoon onion powder

    Salt and black pepper, to taste

    1/4 teaspoon paprika

    1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard

    1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

    1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

    1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

    Cooking spray or butter for greasing

    Directions:

    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

    Steam broccoli florets for 3–4 minutes until just tender but still bright green. Drain and set aside.

    In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.

    Slowly whisk in the milk and cook until slightly thickened, about 2–3 minutes.

    Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, Dijon mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper.

    Stir in mozzarella and half of the cheddar until melted and smooth.

    Spread steamed broccoli evenly in the baking dish. Layer the cooked chicken over the broccoli.

    Pour the cheese sauce evenly over the chicken and broccoli.

    Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and optional breadcrumbs on top.

    Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
