Say no more

Benyapha, a 15-year-old girl from Nonthaburi, Thailand, lives a life defined by resilience and responsibility. Her father has been bedridden for the past 16 years following a serious accident, leaving him completely dependent on others for care. Meanwhile, her mother works long hours as a housekeeper, earning only a modest daily income to support the family.

After returning home from school each day, Benyapha immediately takes on the role of caregiver. She cleans her father, changes his diapers, and ensures he is as comfortable as possible. Despite these demanding responsibilities, her day does not end there. She goes out to collect discarded plastic bottles from streets and trash bins, selling them to earn a small amount of extra money.

In the midst of these hardships, Benyapha remains deeply committed to her education. She studies diligently and has achieved excellent academic results, ranking third in her class.

When asked if she ever feels embarrassed about her situation, Benyapha responds with honesty and strength. She says she feels no shame, explaining that her father’s condition is not something to hide, and caring for him is simply her duty.

Her story has inspired many, highlighting her unwavering strength, deep love for her family, and determination to persevere despite life’s challenges.
