Public appearances in recent months have fueled growing concern. Observers have noted facial drooping on one side, persistent hand bruising, swollen ankles, and increasing signs of fatigue. Medical professionals have publicly speculated these symptoms could point to conditions including chronic venous insufficiency — which the White House has confirmed — or potentially more serious neurological or cardiovascular issues. Trump’s former doctor also revealed a glowing 2016 health statement was dictated by Trump himself, not his physician.

Social media users have noted that recent tweets from Trump’s Truth Social account do not appear to be Trump’s usual style and appears more like Stephen Miller.

A 2025 YouGov poll found nearly two-thirds of Americans believe Trump’s health and age are affecting his ability to govern, and 49% believe he is in cognitive and physical decline. Trump has insisted he has “never felt better.”
