A simple look at the sky above Mount Fuji turned into an unforgettable sight.

As the sun slowly set, a huge cloud formed over the mountain’s peak, taking on the striking shape of a phoenix with its wings spread wide. It looked less like an ordinary cloud and more like a mythical creature rising into the sky.

The incredible moment was captured by photographer Ken Moriya, who is known for chasing Japan’s most dramatic skies. In his photograph, the glowing cloud hovered perfectly above Mount Fuji, as if nature had carefully painted the scene.

For a brief moment, sunlight, wind, and clouds came together to create something truly magical.

But just as quickly as it appeared, the cloud began to fade away.
