Happy #wipwednesday 😃🧵This week I finished making shorts for Matcha Roll! I tested out several shorts and bloomers patterns until I decided to use @simplicity_creative_group pattern 1370 as a base, which I’ve actually sewn several times before. I merged the waistband to the shorts and shortened the inseam. With all the pattern tests and mock-ups I made, I really got to test out the new fabric shears that @famorecutlery sent me as part of the Floral Sewing Kit! Can’t wait to try out all the tools in the kit! Similar to the bodice, I added kumihimo details to the lower edge of the shorts. For structure, I added 1” horsehair braid to the hem since I expected the kumihimo to weigh it down.
