    1 cup water

    2 tablespoons granulated sugar

    1 tablespoon kosher salt

    2 cloves garlic, smashed

    1/2 teaspoon whole black peppercorns

    1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds (optional)

    Directions:

    In a small saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, garlic, peppercorns, and coriander seeds.

    Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar and salt are dissolved.
