Sáng 12/6, Quốc hội thông qua Nghị quyết sắp xếp đơn vị hành chính cấp tỉnh năm 2025 với 96,44% đại biểu tán thành. Theo nghị quyết, 52 đơn vị hành chính cấp tỉnh, gồm 4 thành phố và 48 tỉnh, sẽ được hợp nhất để hình thành 23 đơn vị hành chính cấp tỉnh mới. Sau khi nghị quyết có hiệu lực, cả nước sẽ còn 34 đơn vị hành chính cấp tỉnh, bao gồm 28 tỉnh...
