Fiery Homemade Garlic Chili Sauce with a Hint of Sweetness

    Ingredients:

10โ€“12 fresh red chilies (adjust to heat preference)

    4 cloves garlic, peeled

    1/2 cup white vinegar

    2 tablespoons sugar

    1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons neutral oil (like vegetable or sunflower)

Optional: 1 small tomato for added body and mildness

    Directions:

Remove stems from chilies. If you want a milder sauce, remove some or all of the seeds.

In a blender or food processor, combine chilies, garlic, vinegar, sugar, and salt. Blend until smooth.

Heat the oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the blended mixture and stir.

Simmer the sauce for 10โ€“12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened and the raw smell disappears.

Taste and adjust salt or sugar as needed.

Let it cool before transferring to a sterilized jar. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
