Italian Brodetto di Pesce – Adriatic Fish Stew
A traditional fish stew from the Adriatic coast made with mixed fish and shellfish, cooked in a flavorful tomato and white wine broth.
Ingredients (Serves 4):
* 400g firm white fish fillets (cod, monkfish)
* 200g shrimp, peeled
* 200g mussels, cleaned
* 1 onion, chopped
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 400g canned tomatoes
* 150ml white wine
* Olive oil, parsley, chili flakes, salt, pepper
Instructions:
1. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until soft.
2. Add tomatoes and white wine, simmer 10 minutes.
3. Add fish and shrimp, cook 5 minutes.
4. Add mussels, cover and cook until mussels open.
5. Season with chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Garnish with parsley and serve with crusty bread.

Use fresh seafood for the best flavor, and don’t overcook the fish.
