The Original Fantasy Fudge
Classic Creamy Fantasy Fudge with a Nostalgic Twist
Ingredients:
4 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
2/3 cup evaporated milk
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
7 oz jar marshmallow creme (fluff)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans)
Directions:
In a large saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk.
Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring continuously to avoid burning.
Remove from heat and immediately stir in chocolate chips and marshmallow creme until melted and smooth.
Stir in vanilla extract and nuts if using.
Pour mixture into a greased 9x9-inch pan and spread evenly.
Allow to cool at room temperature until set, about 2 hours, then cut into squares.
