Missouri Beef and Mushroom Pasta
Savory Beef and Mushroom Cream Pasta Inspired by Missouri Comfort Cooking
Ingredients:
12 oz egg noodles or fettuccine
1 lb ground beef (or thinly sliced beef strips)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Directions:
Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Remove beef and set aside.
Add remaining oil to the pan. Sauté onions for 3 minutes, then add garlic and cook 1 minute more.
Add mushrooms and cook until softened and browned, about 5 minutes.
Return beef to the pan. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and beef broth. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream, sour cream, and Parmesan cheese until combined.
Add cooked noodles and toss to coat evenly in sauce.
Season with salt and pepper, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.

Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 carrots, sliced
3 celery stalks, sliced
1 zucchini, diced
1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes
6 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
1/2 cup small pasta (like ditalini or elbow macaroni)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; sauté until translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
Add carrots, celery, and zucchini; cook for another 5 minutes until slightly softened.
Pour in chicken broth and diced tomatoes. Stir in oregano, thyme, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
Add chicken breasts whole to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
