    French Baguette with Herb Butter – The Quintessential French Snack

    A crisp crust and soft, airy crumb make the French baguette a timeless favorite. Paired with aromatic herb butter, it’s a simple yet irresistible treat for any time of day.

    Ingredients (Makes 1 baguette):

    For the baguette dough:
    • 250g all-purpose flour
    • 150ml warm water
    • 5g dry yeast
    • 1 tsp salt

    For the herb butter:

    • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

    Instructions:

    3. Shape dough into a long baguette. Let rise 30 mins.
    4. Score the top and bake at 220°C (430°F) for 20–25 mins until golden and crispy.
    5. Mix herb butter ingredients. Serve sliced baguette warm with herb butter.

    Use a tray of water in the oven for steam during baking to get the perfect crust!
