For the Spaghetti Crust:

6 ounces spaghetti
2 tablespoons butter
2 eggs
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
The Cheese Layer:

1 cup ricotta cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (or 2 teaspoons dried parsley)
½ teaspoon dried basil (or 1 tablespoon fresh basil)
The Meat Sauce:

1 pound lean ground beef
½ small onion, diced
14.5 ounces canned diced tomatoes, drained
2 cups pasta sauce
For Topping:

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:

Prepare the Spaghetti Crust:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and return to the pot.
Add the butter, eggs, and grated Parmesan cheese to the spaghetti. Mix well until combined.
Press the spaghetti mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a greased pie dish to form a crust.
Make the Cheese Layer:
In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, chopped parsley, and dried basil. Mix until well combined. Set aside.
Prepare the Meat Sauce:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the drained diced tomatoes and pasta sauce. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
Assemble the Spaghetti Pie:
Spread the ricotta cheese mixture evenly over the spaghetti crust.
Pour the meat sauce over the ricotta layer, spreading it evenly.
Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
Let the spaghetti pie cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy this delicious twist on a classic dish!
