Mediterranean Steak Bowl with Tzatziki & Pita Chips
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
1 lb flank steak
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon oregano
For the Tzatziki Sauce:
1 cup Greek yogurt
1/4 cup chopped cucumber
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chopped dill
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Bowl:
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup chopped red onion
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1/2 cup pita bread, cut into triangles and toasted
Instructions:
Prepare the Steak:
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Rub this mixture all over the flank steak.
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Make the Tzatziki Sauce:
In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, chopped cucumber, minced garlic, chopped dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to use.
Prepare the Pita Chips:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Arrange the pita triangles on a baking sheet and lightly brush with olive oil. Bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Assemble the Bowl:
In a bowl, layer the chopped tomatoes, red onion, and parsley. Slice the grilled steak and place it on top. Drizzle with the tzatziki sauce and serve with the toasted pita chips on the side.
