Ingredients:
For the Tuna:

1 lb ahi tuna, cut into 1-inch thick steaks
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
For the Creamy Sesame Sauce:

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Prepare the Tuna:
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, sesame oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Rub this mixture all over the ahi tuna steaks.
Sear the Tuna:
Heat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tuna steaks and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, or longer if you prefer your tuna cooked more. Remove from heat and let rest for a minute before slicing.
Make the Creamy Sesame Sauce:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.
Serve:
Slice the seared ahi tuna into thin strips and arrange on a plate. Drizzle the creamy sesame sauce over the tuna or serve it on the side for dipping.
Garnish (Optional):
You can garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions for added flavor and presentation.
