Ingredients:
For the Chicken:

1 kg chicken legs (drumettes)
1/2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground paprika
1/2 tsp salt
For the Batter:

2 tbsp plain flour
2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
Oil:

Oil spray for air fryer or oven
Enough oil for deep frying (if deep-frying)
For the Sauce:

1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
1 tbsp honey
1/2 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp rice vinegar
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:
In a large bowl, combine the chicken legs with cooking oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Make the Batter:
In a separate bowl, mix the plain flour and cornflour together. This will be used to coat the chicken for extra crispiness.
Cooking Options:
Air Fryer/Oven: Preheat your air fryer or oven to 200°C (400°F). Lightly spray the chicken with oil and coat each piece in the flour mixture. Place in the air fryer or on a baking sheet and cook for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Deep Frying: Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 180°C (350°F). Coat each chicken piece in the flour mixture and fry in batches for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
Prepare the Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix together the gochujang, honey, light soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar until well combined.
Coat the Chicken:
Once the chicken is cooked, toss it in the sweet and spicy sauce until well coated.
Serve:
Serve your crispy chicken lollipops hot, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
