Crunchy Panko Fish Sticks with Tartar Style White Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 lb white fish fillets, cut into strips
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
For Tartar Style White Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sweet relish
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare Breading Station
Set up three shallow bowls: one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, one with beaten eggs, and one with flour.
Step 2: Dredge the Fish
Dip each fish strip into the flour, then the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the panko mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.
Step 3: Fry the Fish Sticks
Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the fish sticks until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on a paper towel.
Step 4: Make the Tartar Style White Sauce
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet relish, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.
