Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs

Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs
Ingredients:
For the filling:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 for the best flavor)
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp mustard (optional)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or American cheese slices, cut into small pieces)
For the dough:
2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough (or pizza dough if preferred)
For the garlic Parmesan butter:
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning (optional)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper Instructions:
Cook the beef:
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef, cooking until the onions are softened (about 2-3 minutes).
Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper, and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Prepare the dough:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Open the biscuits and flatten each one into a round shape using your hands or a rolling pin, making it large enough to wrap around the filling (about 3-4 inches in diameter).
Assemble the bombs:
Place about 1 tablespoon of the cooked beef mixture in the center of each biscuit.
Add about 1 tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese (or a small piece of American cheese).
Carefully fold the edges of the dough up and around the filling to form a sealed ball, pinching the edges together. Be sure the filling is fully enclosed.
Bake the bombs:
Arrange the filled biscuit bombs on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down, leaving a little space between each one.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden brown and cooked through.
Prepare the garlic Parmesan butter:
While the bombs are baking, combine the melted butter, garlic, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning (if using), salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Stir to combine.
Finish the bombs:
Once the bombs are out of the oven, immediately brush them with the garlic Parmesan butter. Be generous with the butter, as it adds a ton of flavor and gives the bombs a golden, crispy finish.
Serve and enjoy:
