Jalapeño Popper Bites

Jalapeño Popper Bites

Ingredients:

4 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup cooked bacon (crumbled)
1-2 fresh jalapeños (seeded and finely chopped)
1 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped, optional)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 package of wonton wrappers (about 12-15 wrappers)
1 tbsp olive oil (or cooking spray for greasing)
Optional: Sour cream or ranch dressing (for dipping)
📝 Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin with cooking spray or brush with olive oil to help the bites crisp up.

Prepare the filling:

In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, chopped jalapeños, cilantro (if using), garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined and the filling is smooth.
Assemble the bites:

Lay a wonton wrapper flat on a clean surface. Spoon about 1-2 teaspoons of the cheese mixture into the center of the wrapper.
Carefully fold the edges of the wrapper around the filling, pinching them to seal and form a little pouch or triangle. You can also fold them into a simple square shape—just make sure the filling is securely sealed inside.
Bake the bites:

Place each filled wonton wrapper into a muffin tin cup. Lightly brush the top of each bite with olive oil or spray with cooking spray for a golden, crispy finish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the wonton wrappers are golden and crispy.
Serve:

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Serve with a side of sour cream or ranch dressing for dipping, and enjoy these cheesy, spicy, crispy bites!
