Cotton Candy Fudge

Ingredients:
2 cups white chocolate chips
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cotton candy flavoring (available at craft stores, candy stores, or online)
Gel food coloring (pink and blue are ideal for the cotton candy look)
A pinch of salt (optional, to balance sweetness)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the pan:
Line an 8x8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper or foil. This will make it easier to lift the fudge out after it’s set.
2. Melt the fudge base:
In a medium saucepan, combine the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Heat over low to medium heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate and butter are fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and cotton candy flavoring. Be sure to mix thoroughly so that the flavoring is evenly distributed.
3. Color the fudge:
Divide the fudge mixture into two equal portions. In one portion, add a few drops of pink gel food coloring, and in the other portion, add blue gel food coloring. Stir each portion until the colors are well incorporated and vibrant.
4. Layer the fudge:
Start by spooning the pink fudge mixture into the prepared pan. Use the back of a spoon or spatula to smooth it into an even layer.
Next, spoon the blue fudge mixture on top of the pink layer. Again, smooth it out gently with the back of a spoon, trying to avoid mixing the two layers too much (you want to maintain the separation for the layered look).
5. Set the fudge:
Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until it’s fully set and firm. If you want it to set faster, you can place it in the freezer for 30-45 minutes.
6. Cut and serve:
Once the fudge is set, lift it out of the pan using the parchment paper or foil, and cut it into small squares or rectangles. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for longer shelf life.
