🍌🍰 Caramelized Banana Cheesecake with Rum Glaze 🍰🍌

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tablespoon sugar
For the Cheesecake:

16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 large eggs
For the Caramelized Bananas:

2 bananas, sliced
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
For the Rum Glaze:

1/4 cup rum
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon water
Instructions:

Prepare the Crust:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
In a bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until well combined.
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool.
Make the Cheesecake Filling:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Gradually add the granulated sugar and flour, mixing until well combined.
Add the vanilla extract and mix in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust and smooth the top.
Bake the Cheesecake:
Bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for about 1 hour.
Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
Caramelize the Bananas:
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced bananas, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the bananas are caramelized and tender. Remove from heat and let cool.
Prepare the Rum Glaze:
In a small saucepan, combine the rum, brown sugar, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
Assemble the Cheesecake:
Once the cheesecake is chilled, top it with the caramelized bananas and drizzle with the rum glaze.
