Best Banana Pudding Ever

Best Banana Pudding Ever
Ingredients:
For the Pudding:

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 ½ cups cold milk (whole milk works best)
1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups heavy whipping cream (for the whipped topping)
¼ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Assembly:

4-5 ripe bananas, sliced
1 box vanilla wafers (about 12 oz)
Instructions:
1. Make the Pudding:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, cold milk, and the instant vanilla pudding mix until smooth.
Refrigerate for about 5 minutes to let the pudding set.
2. Whip the Cream:
In a separate mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract with a hand mixer or stand mixer until stiff peaks form.
Once the pudding mixture is set, gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding until combined. This gives the pudding a light, airy texture.
3. Assemble the Banana Pudding:
In a 9x13-inch baking dish or a large trifle bowl, layer the vanilla wafers, banana slices, and the pudding mixture.
Start with a layer of vanilla wafers, followed by a layer of banana slices, then a layer of pudding. Repeat until you've used all the ingredients, finishing with a layer of pudding on top.
4. Top with Extra Whipped Cream:
Spread the remaining whipped cream over the top of the pudding.
For extra flavor, you can garnish with crushed vanilla wafers or banana slices on top.
5. Chill:
Cover and refrigerate the banana pudding for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible. This allows the vanilla wafers to soften and soak up the pudding, giving the dessert its signature texture.
6. Serve:
Once chilled, serve cold and enjoy! You can also top it with additional fresh banana slices just before serving if you'd like.
