Lemon-Caper Chicken with Brown Butter Sauce

Lemon-Caper Chicken with Brown Butter Sauce 🍋
Ingredients:

For the Chicken:
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Brown Butter Sauce:
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup capers, drained
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken:
In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken and toss to coat evenly with the seasoning.
2. Cook the Chicken:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice golden-brown color. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Brown Butter Sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Allow it to melt and cook until it turns a golden brown color and has a nutty aroma, about 3-4 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
Add the drained capers to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until they are heated through and slightly crispy.
Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Combine:
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and spoon the brown butter sauce over the top. Allow it to heat through for a minute.
5. Serve:
Plate the chicken and drizzle with the brown butter sauce and capers. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
Enjoy:
This Lemon-Caper Chicken with Brown Butter Sauce is perfect served with rice, quinoa, or a fresh green salad. Enjoy your delicious and zesty meal! 🍋
