🥪 Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls 🥢

Ingredients:

For the Marinade:

1 pound ribeye steak, thinly sliced and chopped
½ tablespoon baking soda
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon crushed rosemary
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
For the Filling:

1 package provolone & mozzarella blend, shredded
4 oz Philadelphia cream cheese (optional)
1 yellow onion, chopped
8 oz mushrooms, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
For the Assembly:

1 package egg roll wrappers
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 egg (for egg wash)
Neutral frying oil (for deep frying)
Instructions:

Marinate the Steak:
In a bowl, combine the baking soda, vinegar, sugar, garlic salt, onion powder, crushed rosemary, and Worcestershire sauce. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the Filling:
In a skillet over medium heat, add a little oil and sauté the chopped onion, mushrooms, and green pepper until softened (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
In a large bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables, shredded cheese, and cream cheese (if using). Mix until well combined.
Cook the Steak:
In the same skillet, cook the marinated steak over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through (about 3-5 minutes). Let it cool slightly, then mix it with the cheese and vegetable filling.
Assemble the Egg Rolls:
Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, with one corner facing you. Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling in the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Seal the top corner with a little water.
Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Fry the Egg Rolls:
Heat neutral frying oil in a deep pot or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Brush the egg rolls with olive oil or dip them in the egg wash for extra crispiness.
Fry the egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
