Swiss Mushroom Melt Delight

Swiss Mushroom Melt Delight
Indulge in this delicious Swiss Mushroom Melt Delight! This hearty sandwich features savory ground beef, sautéed mushrooms, and melted Swiss cheese, all served on toasted bread. Here’s how to make it:
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
4 slices Swiss cheese
1 tbsp butter
4 slices sourdough or rye bread
1 tbsp oil for grilling
2 tbsp mayo or garlic aioli
1 tsp salt & black pepper
Instructions:
Prepare the Beef:
In a bowl, combine the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Cook the Mushrooms:
In a skillet, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Form and Cook the Patties:
Divide the seasoned ground beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties.
In the same skillet (or a grill pan), heat the oil over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to help the cheese melt.
Toast the Bread:
While the patties are cooking, you can toast the sourdough or rye bread in a separate skillet or toaster until golden brown.
Assemble the Sandwiches:
Spread mayo or garlic aioli on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
Place a cheesy beef patty on top of one slice, followed by a generous portion of sautéed mushrooms. Top with another slice of bread to complete the sandwich.
Serve:
Cut the sandwiches in half and serve hot. Enjoy your Swiss Mushroom Melt Delight with your favorite side!
